WHICH BETTER?

1:Searching - Google
Ad Revenue - Yahoo (well that all depends on your niche too)
Portal and news updates - Yahoo
eMail - You pick they are both rather nice
You have to be more specific with your question.

2:Both are good and unique. In Yahoo you can get the facility of accessing free email account. Through Yahoo you can also join with various groups and exchange your views. Where as Google is popular search engine. Here you can get the benefit of search engine submission through which you can improve your site’s PR.

3: lets be honest...google is pretty much ruling the internet right now whereas as yahoo has gone to google for help in fighting off a hostile bid for their company

4:i think Google is one step ahead over yahoo. that my own opinion. but for news i guess it's yahoo

5:Yahoo is better than Google in many ways, but they lack in Search Engine & Ad-revenue.

6: Yeah everyone says google is better. Google is no where near the size that yahoo is when you look at the big picture. Google is 100 times better search engine hands down. They also make more money then yahoo. But yahoo kills them in almost everything else like stocks, news, articles, gossip, movie reviews, music, shopping etc. Yahoo is a massive all in one portal. Where google is good when you need to search for something.

7:Yeah, Google as a search engine wins over yahoo hands down. Even Yahoo admits it!
Yahoo wins at other areas. You don't see many advertisements on Google's main page now do you?

8:Only thing Yahoo lacks in is the search engine part, other than that Yahoo's way better and have well developed applications than Google like Yahoo Messenger. I think if Yahoo would've taken the initiative of introducing WebRank, the scene would have been different today ...
Both seem to be enjoying the First Mover Advantage in their intiatives.

9:I think yahoo search result is geting better than google, because of the new warning "fishing".

10: Hard to say...From SE marketing, Google is leading in Global.But in some areas/countries, Yahoo is leading...It seems that yahoo should increase in user connection Speed...
